Tex: Captain Jack
Tex Willer, the most legendary western comic book hero in the world, who first appeared on Italian news-stands in 1948 and has been published continually ever since, is in English once more, in a book drawn by one of the most renown comic artists in the world, Argentinian legend Enrique Breccia!
In Tex: Captain Jack we follow ranger Tex Willer, along with his great friend and colleague, Kit Carson. The writer of this comic is Tito Faraci, and although Tex is a fictitious character, the background of this particular story and many characters are historical figures and we witness the true dramatic events of Modoc War in what is now known as Lava Beds National Monument in northeastern California, between the Native American tribe Modoc, led by the famous Modoc chief, Kintpuash (better known as Captain Jack) and the US military. I suggest that you abstain doing much of online search of the events to prevent spoiling of this thrilling comic! I certainly resisted and was rewarded by the frequent twists and turns of the plot!
Sergio Bonelli Editore, the original publishing house of Tex in Italy wished to have the legend, Enrique Breccia draw Tex book for them for many years and after decades of waiting their paths finally crossed, and the result is this beautiful comic in Breccia's inimitable, expressive style, which came out in Italy in summer of 2016 in prestigious Speciale Tex edition (aka "Texone") and now you have a chance to own the English edition!
Don't miss this gripping western, based on real, historical events, with majestic artwork by the legendary artist Enrique Breccia!
